           On Sunday July 13, 2008, I spoke with SRC Vice Chairman Ray Nations and confirmed that he sent an e-mail notifying several persons he was resigning as Vice Chairman of the Southern Regional Conference. 
          Ray cited personal reasons, without elaborating, and did not want to be distracted from the time necessary to perform the duties of the office to his level of performance.  I thanked him for his past service and dedication to the Southern Regional Conference and closed with offering the SRC Boards support in whatever way he may need in the future.
          Ray also noted that he is remaining an active member and will join us in Ocala, Florida.
